Taylor's Lookout

Taylor’s Lookout: 2550 Marr Creek Court, West Vancouver B.C. Canada

Bathed by the southern sun by day, lured by neverending views, there’s no better outlook for a West Coast resident than Taylor’s Lookout. Enjoy your own private sanctuary and enjoy the incomparable points of view. Situated between two natural and protected creeks, Taylor’s Lookout is accessed from the Upper Levels Highway via Skilift Road and up Chairlift Road. Neighbourhood streets throughout are positioned to give each homesite a signature view. Future plans are in place for Chippendale Road to connect Taylor’s Lookout directly to the British Properties to the east and to Cypress Bowl Road and ski area to the wes

Site History: Like most of the north shore mountainsides, the entire South Marr Creek area was logged a number of times before it became a small portion of the 4,700 acres that British Pacific Properties purchased in 1931 from the District of West Vancouver for future development.
Later, while British Pacific Properties was building the Lions Gate Bridge and still planning the development of its original Capilano Estates, these slopes became home to some of the North Shore's first downhill ski facilities. The remains of the parking areas and lift foundations can still be found today.
Today, Taylor's Lookout, the newest British Pacific Properties neighborhood, like the Upper Lands neighborhoods that have come before it, has been designed to meet the needs of both the families that will inhabit it and the community at large.

Context Sensitive Urban Planning: Taylor’s Lookout demonstrates its own unique signature style: transitional form, but less formal than neighboring Whitby Estates, with roadways and trails that are more integrated into the topography and native vegetation. This neighborhood sets the stage for a new direction in Upper Lands communities and provides greater environmental sensitivity, less dependence on the automobile and more complete communities.

Road and Trail Systems: As conceived by the Official Community Plan, Chippendale Road will increasingly function as West Vancouver’s upper collector. Crossing Marr Creek, it links the existing neighborhoods and will provide an eventual connection with Cypress Bowl Road near Mulgrave School. When complete, this connection will enable Upper Lands residents to travel through attractive surroundings from Mulgrave School to Taylor Way without the need to use the Upper Levels Highway.
At the same time, the neighborhood features trails and bikeways tht form part of a network of walking and cycling rights of way, which will eventually extend as far west as Horseshoe Bay. Pedestrians and cyclists will especially enjoy the extensive trail network and the connections to adjacent neighborhoods.
Tree retention, extensive greenbelts and wildlife corridors also enhance the natural environment and provide residents with a strong sense of the neighborhood’s original mountain forest setting

Exclusive Custom View Home: In response to changing community housing needs and the growing demands for flexible living environments, Taylor’s Lookout offers a limited number of exclusive executive homes.

Taylor’s Lookout Develepors: The quality of the communities we build, on what is arguably the most beautiful and highly valued real estate in Canada, ultimately depends on the design and construction standards that we place on the property. These standards ensure that the aesthetic and monetary values of individual properties are enhanced and accentuated over the long term. Most of these standards reflect the following principles:
